Shakira has opened up about her new collaboration with Rihanna and says working with the “Diamonds” singer was “utopia”.

Shakira releases her new single “Can’t Remember To Forget You” next Monday (January 13) with Rihanna on guest vocals and says the pair got on incredibly well in the recording studio.

Working with her was utopia,” Shakira reveals in the February issue of Glamour magazine. “She’s the sexiest woman on the planet. And at the end of the day, we’re both just basically Caribbean girls,” Shakira explained. “The chemistry was so good and so real. She taught me dance moves, she was a sweet teacher,” the ‘She Wolf’ singer added.

In today’s edition of “could have happened but probably didn’t” news, the London Sun says Beyoncé and Jay-Z coughed up big bucks to celebrate the arrival of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s daughter, North West. They allegedly delivered $7,600 in baby booty to the new parents, a haul that included monogrammed Dior baby shoes and an engraved, three-piece Elsa Peretti Padova cup and silverware set from Tiffany & Co.

Kanye is one of Jay-Z‘s closest friends, so he wanted to get the best gift,” explains a source, who, it appears, didn’t remind Jay that the couple reportedly asked for charitable donations instead. “They’ve had a girl themselves, so they know the right type of present.”

The last week or so has been a rough time for Miguel on social media. After being featured in every meme imaginable that poked fun at his Billboard Music Awards performance, when he accidentally stomped on some fans, he found himself in even more drama this weekend on Twitter.

It all started when a fan accused him of selling his soul and used his lyrics to “Use Me” to prove a point.

“The real know you’ve already sold your soul, you proved it in your prayer “Use Me” clearly wasn’t to God! Can’t fool us all. You even sent warning in “Dont look back” you did what you thought you had to, just know the rewards are only temporary! You might need to read the words to your own song, exactly who were you asking to “Sedate you? Give control? To curse you?” Nothing self righteous at all about what I said, the lyrics are crystal clear! Just pointing out the obvious. Deception is real! Soon we will all believe right is wrong and wrong is right!”

Miguel, who was more than likely fed up with everything that had transpired over the past week, and responded to the guy:

“Dont be an idiot, there is no “prayer” in use me. take that over zealous self-righteousness elsewhere. I’m proud of my heritage but honestly, black people are the most judgmental people in the world. Sh-ts sad man. We’ve been conditioned, pre-programmed to hate ourselves. that’s why I appreciate those who choose to think and act for themselves regardless of ethnicity or culture. the problem can not be fixed until the problem is recognized.

Not everyone is the same thank goodness. And obviously, I love all my fans. Of course EVERYONE is judgemental. I just PERSONALLY believe WE are the most critical of our own.”

More after the jump.

Hip hop superstar Andre 3000‘s mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo, was found dead yesterday inside her Atlanta home. Ms Sharon was 62 years old and in good health. There are reports circulating that suggest foul play may have been involved. Police are actively looking into everything to determine the exact cause of death.

If the news isn’t bad enough. Yesterday was her son Andre’s 38th birthday. Who has the balls to smack Beyonce on the a**, other than her hubby Jay-Z?

While performing in Denmark this past weekend, Beyonce was too bootylicious in her blue cat suit and one fan just couldn’t handle it. After singing in front of the fan that she acknowledged as “Big Boy”, she began to walk away and he smacked her on her booty. Beyonce turned around and warmed him: “I’m going to have you escorted out, alright?” Watch the clip above.

In other news, Beyonce has increased the security for her show in London amid fears of being attacked by a former Stan-turned-stalker named Bassey Essien at a function in London in 2009. The fan attempted to give her a diary full of religious notes. Since then Essien has mailed numerous letters to Beyonce.

Police can’t keep Essien out of Beyonce’s concert if he has a valid ticket. So Beyonce’s legal team went to a London court to get a restraining order against the young man.

R&B singer Keyshia Cole took to Twitter to vent frustrations about the just-released track, an aggressive meditation on why Beyonce is queen.
She writes:

“Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh*t when convenient 2,”

While Beyoncé’s last record “4″ featured female empowerment hits like “Run The World,” the new track is bold in the hierarchy it establishes: Beyoncé and everyone else. “First ‘Women need to Stick together’ now bitches better Bow. [Shaking my head],” Keyshia Cole said.
