Evel Knievel, the daredevil who became famous in the 60’s and 70’s by doing extreme motorcycle stunts died yesterday in Clearwater, FL. Evel was suffering from diabetes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a lung condition with no cure. Just days ago, Evel confirmed that he and Kanye West had settled a federal lawsuit over Mr. West’s use of Mr. Knievel’s trademarked image in a music video.

He was 69.
