Kanye West, Amy Winehouse Lead 2008 Grammy Nominations

The nominations for the 2008 Grammy nominations were announced this morning in Los Angeles. Kanye West and UK singing sensation Amy Winehouse lead the pack. Kanye was presented with eight nods and Winehouse with six.

Other top nominees included Jay-Z, the Foo Fighters, Paul McCartney, T-Pain, Rihanna and Timbaland. West and Winehouse were nominated for album of the year for their CDs, “Graduation” and “Back to Back”.

Other record of year nominees included Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable,” the Foo Fighter’s “The Pretender,” Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and “What Goes Around Comes Around” by Justin Timberlake.
