The Most Anticipated New Albums

5. Jennifer Hudson - Self-Titled

Release Date: September 30

Everyone’s favorite Dreamgirl makes her album debut almost two years after she dazzled audiences as Effie White in the film adaption of Dreamgirls and while we’re anticipating it, its not at the top of our anticipation list. While we love her single ‘Spotlight’ we’ve got to mention, she has got to do more than deliver sultry Aretha Franklin-esque ballads and mid-tempos to get our juices pumping.

4. Keri Hilson - In a Perfect World

Release Date: September 23

Ms. Hilson has worked with Timbaland and penned some of the biggest hits from the biggest artists. Now she’s set to release her own solo debut and we are nothing but ready to hear! Her debut single ‘Energy’ is making its way up the Billboard charts and our iPod playlist!

3. Ne-Yo -Year of the Gentleman

Release Date: August 5

R&B hitmaker Ne-Yo returns this fall with the followup to his 2007 release ‘Because of You’. As far as we’re concerned Ne-Yo can do little wrong, eh except taking pics of back-up dancers giving faliatio, but thats another story. If the album sounds anything like his first single, ‘Closer’ we couldn’t be more excited.

2. Solange - Sol-Angel & the Hadley Street Dreams

Release Date: August 26

Its been almost six years since Solange Knowles, singer/songwriter/actress/mom/and sister of our number one pick released her debut solo album, ‘Solo Star’ via Columbia and since then a lot has changed. She’s married, had a kid and divorced and has much to write about. Its been confirmed that she’s worked with Cee-Lo, Lil Wayne, Q-Tip and Bilal. The first two single’s ‘I Decided’ and ‘Sandcastle Disco’ are in our current playlist of hot tracks.

1. Beyonce’ - Title TBA

Release Date: November 2008

The ‘hottest chick in the game’ returns to the scene with her much anticipated fall release of her currently untitled new album. With confirmed producers like Timbaland, Kanye West, Rodney Jerkins, T-Pain, Kerry Krucial Brothers, The Dream, and Gnarls Barkley its sure to be a jam packed album front start to finish. We can’t wait until Queen Bee returns to her throne to reign supreme once again.
