The Nickel Couch: a Couch Made of Nickels

Talk about saving your spare change! Designer Johnny Swing has created a line of furniture that uses common everyday materials to create unique, one of a kind furnishings. The nickel couch is made of 6,400 nickels, 35,000 welds and a substructure of using 350ft of stiffing rods. The couch weights 125 pounds and is 80 inches wide. More pics after the jump.

My ass is hurting just looking at this thing, it’s creative but hideous and nickels. Why in the hell would I want to sit on a whole bunch of nickels. I can imagine in the summer time, you know how you had the scratches from the plastic. And how when you get up your ass is all sweaty. I can see nickel prints all over my legs. Not a good look.
