I have some extremely sad news to report today. Golden Globe & Emmy nominated comedian/actor Bernie Mac has died today at a Chicago area hospital of complications due to pneumonia. On Friday a spokeswoman for the actor whose real name is, Bernard McCullough reported he was doing fine and responding well to the treatment but unfortunately on this day God called him home. His publicist says that no other details are available and asked that his family’s privacy be respected. Bernie apparently suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. I have to say I am shocked because I love me some Bernie Mac & he will definitely be missed. LuxeRepublic would like to send our condolences out to his family & friends. May he RIP.
