As if their looks couldn’t parallel anymore, Rihanna and Ciara both decided to don monotone looks. I hate it. Rihanna was spotted out and about in New York a few days ago and Ciara hit the red carpet of an Express event she hosted.

My question is, what’s with the monotone looks? Why must everything be the same color? I think both looks would be a bit more interesting if they had at least thrown in a different color into the mix. Ugh, hate it. Might I add that Ciara is trailing behind Rihanna again, albeit this time she is only a few days late. Meh.

OK I tried to give this chick the benefit of the doubt. I understand she wants a change, but this new haircut is just all wrong. She looks like a Wanda Sykes/Peter Pan hybrid. Ciara’s features are way too manly for such short hair. I can understand she is trying to be edgy, but geez. And what’s up with the green contacts? Rihanna much?

Beyonce is set to release her new DVD and Remix album June 16 and its entitled Above and Beyoncé Video Collection and Dance Mixes.

Among the tracks included on the collection is a remix of her song “Ego” featuring a guest appearance by Kanye West. “The song is fun,” says Beyoncé. “It talks about someone being very confident and having this swagger when they walk and when they talk.”

As for nabbing West, well, Beyoncé says the rapper – known for his outsized personality – was a good match. Recounting her conversation with West, Beyoncé says he agreed to do it, telling her, ” ‘Okay, so you have a song about an ego and you want me on the record?’ He’s like, ‘I love it. I’ll do it.’ “

Above and Beyoncé will be available at Wal-Mart and J&R Music World stores beginning June 16.
