News about Britney Spears’ new single has spread across the internet like wildfire. The new single is called ‘Underground’ and is said to be a dance, electronic, pop inspired song. We can’t wait to hear it! ‘Blackout’ was her best album, in our opinion.

Its Album Tuesday and this week, we say cut the crap and go out and purchase our good friend Solange’s sophomore LP, Sol-AngeL & the Hadley Street Dreams. The album is an interesting mesh of oldie melodies, futuristic electronica inspired elements and genius lyrics all with a Motown vibe and we LOVE IT. Solange has really stood on her own two feet with this project. Its reminiscent of a female Gnarls Barkley and frankly, that’s a good thing.
Stand out tracks include: T.O.N.Y, Sandcastle Disco, Would’ve Been the One, and Cosmic Journey feat. Bilal

Danity Kane, the Cheetah Girls and Shwayze dropped by TRL and boy did the girls look hot! I mean not that the guys didn’t but we swear Shwayze wore that same shirt yesterday. Shannon looked great in her striped mini and gloves, we love gloves! Dawn didn’t look too bad either in her Herve Lager bandage. Adrienne from the Cheetah Girls looked great too, love has her glowing!

Luxerepublic had the opportunity to visit the set of Brandy’s new video for her new single ‘Right Here (Departed’. This is her first single from her first album since 2004’s ‘Afrodisiac’.
The video was shot in Downtown LA and features Brandy giving performance shots among the urban setting with the buildings, traffic and crowds of walking pedestrians in the backdrop. We must admit, Brandy looked amazing with her long, flowy weave and Ray-J was there to give his support too. Brandy’s back! Make sure to check out her new album ‘Human’ in stores and online November 11, 2008.
