So the 2008 VMA’s were last night and despite us being somewhat disappointed we did have a few highlights. Yea enough, not to the good stuff.
Britney Spears - The woman of the night. Excuse our French but she looked A-Fucking-Mazing. We swear we were gleaming into the Britney circa 2001. Way to come back Brit and win your first ever moonman and two others.
Rihanna - We loved Rihanna opening the show with ‘Disturbia’ everything was utterly amazing. Her styling, her hair, the dancers, the choreography, the lighting, the props… ahhh. Oh except for one thing, her vocals. Ouch. Ehh, oh well she looked amazing in both her solo performance and when she hit the stage with T.I.
P!nk - This chick was fabulous! Loved the red and black striped dress and her hair fit so perfectly. Was it us or was she sunburnt? Either way her performance was hot and we just love that song!

Well people it looks like shes back. Your Beyonce hunger can now be fed. Beyonce is covering the new issue of Marie Claire UK and frankly, we love her styling more than we’re glad she’s back. Boy that white blazer and necklace combo = pure heaven. Not to mention the black bow sleeveless top in the editorial (after the jump). Ahh.. the sweet smell of fashion. But whats better than fashion is fashon and Beyonce. So it looks like she’s back with an album releasing November 18. This is where the chicks start throwing handcuffs “cuz they knowing that their man ain’t safe”.
Another shot after the jump.

Its Album Tuesday and this week, we say cut the crap and go out and purchase our good friend Solange’s sophomore LP, Sol-AngeL & the Hadley Street Dreams. The album is an interesting mesh of oldie melodies, futuristic electronica inspired elements and genius lyrics all with a Motown vibe and we LOVE IT. Solange has really stood on her own two feet with this project. Its reminiscent of a female Gnarls Barkley and frankly, that’s a good thing.
Stand out tracks include: T.O.N.Y, Sandcastle Disco, Would’ve Been the One, and Cosmic Journey feat. Bilal

The Washington Post reported that an array of fashion designers have joined forces to design a new clothing line for the Barack Obama campaign. Designers like Tracy Reese, Derek Lam, Isaac Mizrahi, Charles Nolan and Diane von Furstenberg have created pieces that will be on sale at Barack’s official website. Other names that have been dished out but not confirmed include Russell Simmons, Beyonce, Michael Bastian and Vera Wang. Top that McCain. If an Obama tee is on your mind, theres a few to chose from by drannek.

Janet Jackson took a break from rehearsals from her upcoming tour to unveil her new lingerie line. Yea thats right, the same woman who allowed her boob to pop out will now help you cover yours. Oh and we love the name, ‘Pleasure Principle’. Ahh… so fitting.
The line will hit stores by the end of the year-beginning of next year and was designed with Australian lingerie designer Bruno Schiavi. Sure puts a new meaning to “Ms. Jackson if you nasty.”
